Back-to-school season looks a lot different these days. And our parents and staff are looking for ways to keep young kids engaged while learning at home virtually. 

So for the next 8 weeks, we're putting together a program called Kids Kitchen. Here's how (we hope) it works.  Beginning Tuesday, September 15th, at 10 am, our staff kids are going to stream an instructional video of how to make something sweet in the kitchen.  If you'd like to cook along with us at home--and if you live within a 20 mile radius of The Norwegian--we'll put together a package for you, including all the ingredients you'll need for each week's food item.  Order here by Saturday at midnight, and we'll drop off your package on Monday. 

Each package includes pre-measured, all-natural ingredients, as well as instructions.  If you can't watch our live video on Tuesday mornings at 10 am, you can watch the video at your leisure after it airs. 

If you live outside the Rockford area and would just like to follow along without ingredients, we invite you to join us anyway. Because if we learned one thing from quarantine, it's that human connection is important. And in a world that seems bound and determined to find all that separates us, our staff believes we should still at least be able to find common ground through food, cooking, and letting small children make a big mess from time to time.
